Tunisia international forward Anice Badri is close to leaving African Champions Esperance de Tunis to transfer to Saudi club Al Ittihad.
The 29-year-old follows the trend of players leaving an African league for the riches of the Gulf region. Badri has scored 37 and assisted 28 goals for Taraji since leaving in 2016.
Badri’s departure marks another major exit for the Tunisian giants after the likes Ayman Ben Mohammed, Franck Kom and Youceff Bellaili, who were internal to their Champions League double – all parted ways.
Having been born in France, Badri began his career in Europe. Playing for Mouscron before moving to his country of origin, Tunisia.
