Anderlecht bid for for Nigeria wonderkid rejected

Latvian Super league side Valmeira have rejected a €1.5m bid from Belgian Jupiler Pro League giants Anderlecht for their Nigerian sensation Tolu Arokodare, according to delfi.lv

The Belgian giants are long time admirers of the attacker but their efforts of bringing the Nigerian seem to have reached a dead end with the Latvian side rejecting the latest offer.

The reason behind the Latvian outfit’s rejection has centred on the amount offered by the Belgian giants, which is considered not enough to convince the club to sell their standout performer.

Anderlecht are believed to have tabled €1.5m for the talented 19-year old attacker but the Latvian outfit want nothing less then €2.0m for their star.

The 19-year-old striker scored 15 goals in 15 Virslīga games this season.

The first round of the Belgian transfer window closed on 31 August, but the second run will be open from 8 September to 5 October.

It remains to be seen if the Belgian giants will come back with an improved offer for the 1.95m (6’5″) attacker or will search elsewhere.
