Bafana striker Kermit Romeo Erasmus set to join Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of the 2020/21 DStv Premiership campaign.
The former Orlando Pirates hitman was among Pitso Mosimane’s transfer targets as he was looking to bolster his misfiring attack at the Brazilians before his shock move to Al Ahly this week but the departure of ‘Jngle’ didn’t jeopardize the deal.
The 30-year old steered for the Citizens last season scoring important goals and is considered as one of the deadly finishers in the PSL which has earned him a National team call up in the latest Bafana squad which is set to take on Tanzania and Zambia in international friendlies.
Erasmus is expected to put the pen on the dotted line on a long term deal before he joins the Bafana squad and will be unveiled along side his Bafana teammate Aubrey Modiba who joined from crosstown rivals Super Sport United.
The former Rennes forward netted 14 goals in 27 appearances for Jan Olde Reikerink’s side across all compatitions in the last campaign and will look to continue with his form in Mamelodi Sundowns colours next season.
