Former Golden Eaglets goalkeeper John Felagha has passed away in Saly, Senegal. The unfortunate incidence on Sunday while he was awaiting a return to his home country on holidays.
The 26-year old former Flying Eagles goalkeeper was among the first set of Nigerians selected for the Aspire Football Dreams Project.
He later signed with Belgian Jupiler Pro League outfit KAS Eupen after spending five years at Aspire Football Dreams Project academy, where he tendered goal for two games in 2013.
Felagha won a silver medal as a deputy to Dami Paul with the Golden Eaglets at 2009 FIFA U17 World Cup that was won by Switzerland.
He was also part of Flying super Africa Youth Championship in 2011 coached by John Obuh.
As many footballers, the career of the 28-year old was ruined by injuries which later saw him taking the goalkeeper coach position at Aspire Football Dreams Academy, where he had honed his skills.
