The Ghana FA have decided to let Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah’s contract expire.
Appiah had been at the realm since 2017. His contract expired in May, but was asked to stay on for their two 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
With his contract now expired, it will be up to Ghana FA president Kurt Okraku to hire a replacement.
He also managed the National Team from 2012-2014, qualifying the team for the 2014 World Cup.
He had a disastrous Africa Cup of Nations last year in Egypt, where the Black Stars got knocked in at the round of 16.
Ghana’s next competitive match is in March, when the second round qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup begin.
