Asante Kotoko defender Habib Mohammed has expressed his desire to play alongside Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan.
The Kotoko star revealed he will be happy if the club manages sign Gyan ahead of the 2020/21 season.
The Porcupine Warriors will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League next season have been actively seeking to bolster their squad.
Gyan is said to be one of eight players the identified as transfer targets as they look to build a squad capable of challenging the dominance of North Africa.
Habib has since expressed his feelings about the possibility of playing with the Black Stars record goal-scorer.
“I will be very happy if I see Asamoah Gyan join Kotoko because he will help the team in terms of experience,” he said, as quoted via Football Ghana.
“The players will also be proud of playing with [Former] Black Stars captain.”
Kotoko was confirmed as the representative for the West African giants after the Ghana Premier League was cancelled due to the novel coronavirus.
