Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Kabelo Mahlasela says parting ways with PSL league leaders Kaizer Chiefs will not mentally affect him because that is part of football.
The nippy midfielder is currently on loan at Polokwane City from Amakhosi and even though the Soweto giants recently decided not to renew his contract, he suggested can play anywhere as long as he is enjoying regular game time.
The 29-year-old joined the Glamour Boys with huge expectations two seasons ago, but a number of injuries set him back, leading to his loaning out.
“I wouldn’t say there’s something that made me lose myself, and I don’t want to dwell more on this thing of an injury, even though it played a huge part in my career when I got to Chiefs. I got to Chiefs with high expectations to see me doing what I was doing at Celtic. I do not want to dwell more on the injury, but I would say it played a part,” Mahlasela told Soccer Laduma.
Mahlasela could remain with Rise and Shine as coach Clinton Larsen recently expressed his desire to keep him in Polokwane to Goal.
Mahlasela endured a torrid time at Naturena making just 17 appearances in a injury hit spell after joining from Bloemfontein Celtic in 2017.
