Atalanta young starlet Amad Traore could complete his move to the Red Devils as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues to bolster his attacking options before the transfer window closes in three days.
Traore, 18, was born in Côte d’Ivoire but moved to Italy at a young age. According to the Express, United had previously made an approach for the young attacker last season and are confident of landing his signature.
According to reports, this potential deal is completely separate from the Jadon Sancho pursuit but the 13 time English Premier League champions could bring in a player who has only played 30 minutes of first-team football—Atalanta’s 7-1 win against Udinese in which he scored a wonderfully taken goal, becoming the youngster goal scorer in Serie A history at the age of 17.
With Serie A outfit, Parma, also keen on the teenager the United boss refused to name any links or make any transfer updates and said he would only do so once deals were confirmed.
“I can’t give you any news now. We’re working with the players we’ve got, we’ve got a big squad,” he said, as per the Express.
“If there’s any updates (and confirmations), we’ll give you them.”
At U-17 level, the winger has pulled up some pretty impressive numbers. According to Transfermarkt, since 2018 Traore has made 95 appearances, scored 37 goals, and assisted 24 goals.
