Ghanaian attacking midfielder Bernard Mensah has confirmed his loan move from Kayserispor to Turkish giants, Besiktas.
According to ghanaweb.com the former Atletico Madrid attacker landed in Istanbul with his two children and wife to complete his deal. He and his family were met by club officials who transported the Accra-born man to the club to complete his medical for the loan to be approved.
The 25-year-old has been an integral part of Kayersipor’s attack this season, starting 25 of 34 Turkish Süper Lig matches, scoring eight goals and registering five assists, the most for his side who finished second from bottom and were subsequently relegated from the top flight.
The Black Stars international is reportedly set to sign a season-long loan valued at an estimated €500 000, and could seal a permanent move to Vodafone Park, should the Black Eagles activate their first option to buy Mensah for €4.5million at the end of the 2020/2021 campaign.
The 13-time Turkish champions will hope for the dynamic and creative midfielder to inject some much-needed guile in the final third, with veteran midfielder, Atiba Hutchinson, finishing the season as the club’s highest goal scorer with six.
