Mosimane set for Al Ahly job

Pitso Mosimane has resigned as Mamelodi Sundowns head coach ahead of a shock move to Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

Mosimane has long been targeted by North African teams with Wydad Casablanca, Ahly and Zamalek all approaching the South African coach in the past.

However, Ahly have now secured the five-time South African league winner as the replacement for Rene Weiler, who will leave after the Egyptian Cup fixture against Tersana on Wednesday evening.

According to South African publication TimesLive, Mosimane will be unveiled this week as the next Red Devils boss with the mandate of winning the CAF Champions League this season.
