Nigerian striker Aide Brown Ideye has joined Turkish Super Lig side Göztepe on a two-year deal.
Ideye joins the Turkish outfit after spending just a year with Greek side Aris Thessaloniki F.C.
The 31-year old Super Eagles man arrives with huge experience and expectations in the club having represented Greek giants Olympiacos and West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.
Ideye, who was also part of the Nigerian team that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and will now look to become the latest African striker to take the Turkish top-flight by storm.
“We signed a two-year contract with the Nigerian striker Brown Ideye,” the club statement read.
“Born on October 10, 1988, in Yenagoa, Nigeria, after becoming a professional in Ideye country, he played in Neuchatel Xamax, Sochaux, Dynamo Kyiv, West Bromwich Albion, Olympiakos, Tianjinlinik, Malaga and Aris.
“The striker, who has experience in the Premier League, La Liga and Champions League, has been successful in airing rival nets 152 times in 384 matches he played.”
