Palace to replace Zaha with Ivory Coast teammate?

Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga has become one of Crystal Palace’s prime attacking targets to replace star man Wilfred Zaha, who is rumoured to leave his boyhood club by the start of the 2020/2021 campaign.

Boga, 23, has been one of Africa’s standout players in Serie A since joining the Neroverdi in 2018 for an estimated £3.5-million.

According to, the Ivory Coast international has garnered much interest among Italian, French, and English clubs, with Roy Hodgson looking the most likely manager to secure his services, should reports be believed.

With the likes of Napoli and Rennes placing bids of £27-million and £20-million respectively, the green and black are looking to hold out for a deal around the £30-million region.

In a very impressive campaign at the Mapei Stadium, the former Blues man led his side to a laudable eighth-place finish, the second-highest in Sassuolo’s history, scoring 11 goals and registering four assists.

Whether or not his fellow countryman, who has been linked with moves to Paris-Saint Germain and Borussia Dortmund, will stay at Selhurst Park or leave, Boga could be given a real chance in the Premier League after playing a total of 18 minutes under Antonio Conte, making his only first-team appearance at Stamford Bridge against Burley in 2017.
