French outfit Ameins have agreed to sell Bafana star Bongani Zungu to Scottish giants Rangers, according to reports in France and Scotland.
L’EQUIPE and the Scottishman have reported that Rangers have come up with the €4M (R77m) that Amiens have asked for after the French outfit was relegated to Ligue 2.
The club’s agreeing terms clears the way for the Bafana midfielder to move to the Scottish side.
Amiens reportedly also accepted bids from La Liga side Celta Viga along with long-time admirers Strasbourg.
Zungu, who is a long-time Liverpool fan, was delighted at the chance of playing under Anfield legend Steven Gerrard.
The South African international is expected to sign a 4-year deal with Rangers. If the deal is concluded quick enough he could suit up when Rangers play against Abderdeen on Saturday in the Scottish Premiership opener.
