Lubumbashi club TP Mazembe have decided to not renew the contract of one of their longest serving players.
Jean Kasusula has left the club after 16 years now that his contract has expired.
The left back is a Raven through and through, breaking through from the youth team in 2006.
He made 35 appearances for the DR Congo national team, even winning the bronze medal at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
He made headlines in 2015 when he ran for a position in Parliament with the opposition National Party for Democracy and Development with teammate Robert Kidiaba.

At 37-years-old, it is unclear whether Kasusula will retire or look for a new club.
While at Mazembe Kasusula won up many trophies. He won the CAF Champions League three times and the CAF Confederation Cup twice. Additionally, he picked up 10 league titles.
