Egypt’s most heralded youth player Ramadan Sobhi is being targeted by Serie A side Udinese according to Calciomercato.
Sobhi was signed by the then Premier League side Huddersfield Town from Stoke City in 2018, but was loaned out to his former club Al Ahly six months later. Sobhi has spent almost two years with the Cairo giants – but is expected to return to England when his loan expires in October.
With his impending departure from the Egyptian Premier League, clubs from Turkey, Spain, Egypt and now Italy are after the 23-year-old winger.
Sobhi had scored five goals and provided one assist in nine appearances for Al Ahly this season. He was sidelined by a thigh injury he sustained in December.
He captained Egypt to the U23 AFCON title and is expected to lead them again at the Olympics.
Huddersfield are reportedly looking to cut ties with the player and are hoping to sell him permanently.
Sobhi is reportedly valued at 7 million euros.
